I hope all had a very " Merry little Christmas ",we did and a new tradition was started by my oldest, we celebrated part of our Christmas day with her family, at her home as opposed to just staying at our home with them coming over.
As is with many extended families, our sweet grandie Kinsley has 3 sets of doting grandparents ( actually it's 4 sets but that's another story... ), we all have to learn to bend or run the risk of breaking...we chose to bend.
Different isn't always bad... just different and that was what it felt like, somehow not quite right but not bad. I knew change was coming and I didn't want it to, you know how sometimes we don't like to change the "status quo" but in doing so, I felt like I "grew up" a little bit...I still feel a little melancholy, especially at this time of year, when things are already stressed and you crave just a bit of familiarity / sanity,( that's why the holidays are not my favorite time of year ) I guess I'm a creature of habit in certain things?
But different can be good...if you let it be...

Hi Flora..We are creatures of habit :)..It is very hard to bend sometimes, even though we know it is for the good :)..Having extended families and accomodating all is very difficult,I know :)..

Oh yes he does Mr.Lips, He knows he's the best Santa around..a legend in his own mind I tell ya!!!
He is such a kid at Christmas time,I made him his santa suit about 9 yrs ago and he usually carries candy canes to give out to the kids, where ever he goes! His zz top beard is grown all year, then a day or two after the holidays he chops it off! He is in his element when Christmas comes around!!
