I was SO mad!!!....

Because for the 4th time in as many years my dh business was broken into!!! I was fit to spit nails and to make matters worse my dd and sil had a rare evening out and someone broke into their Navigator. Items were stolen each time of course, items that held personal value that a thief couldn't possibly understand...
So YES I was definitely MAD as hell!!!
This time at my dh business, a neighbor and friend made it possible for the scoundrel
to be caught!!!We were there to see the whole thing happen as the police came, cornered and arrested him!!! But only for the diligence and bravery of those special neighbors, did it happen.Thank you Angelica and Daniel.
And yet after all was said and done, as I looked at his face , I could not feel anything but saddness and pain? Through misty eyes I felt a familiar ache in my soul, why, this man was not someone I knew, but there it was...saddness and pain.
His face had a look of bewilderment and confusion,as he looked at everyone but saw no one, resignation maybe ...I don't know... Mexican ,my people, but an illegal.
I'm sure we , unfortunately , will see "his kind" again and he will be on one of those revolving doors.
Why come to this still wonderful country and choose a life of crime, all for some electrical wiring....what a waste...

Blessings , Flora

I'm so sorry this happened to you, again! You are such a sweet person. It is rare to find someone that would feel anything but anger. I too am always wondering why people do what they do. The other day I read about someone robbing a Donut place...? I mean why? If they needed money, why a DONUT place? how much money could it have on hand? Why? It's hard to understand.

So sorry Flora...(((HUG)))
And your DD and SIL too!!!
It's just plain awful everywhere!
Here in Atlanta...
My poor SIL had her car trashed and rendered undrivable in a theft attempt at her work's parking lot (S. Fulton Hospital) last week..the damages are more than the car is worth..and Insurance paid a pittance, so poor hard-working SIL has no transportation..
All this happened while a Lazy-A security Guard was on duty...
So happy the man was caught in your case..and hoping it never happens again..

What an experience. I am glad the robber was caught but it is sad that people get to the point where robbing is their choice. And I am glad you are OK.

I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this.
It is heart breaking, he had choices and they were no more difficult then trying to figure out how to break in and steal something.

Flora,
I am sorry to hear about your break in. It feels like a personal violation. We have similar issues here in Oregon. I have often wondered the same thing, why come here to "make a new life" and start or continue a life of crime? Makes no sense. Thank heaven for your watchful neighbors! Many Blessing to you and yours, Susan

I know that anger, but never the sympathy you felt. Such crimes are quite common around here and since we live right on the border, it's all too often.

You are a good soul to feel that way about this minor criminal and yes, why come to this country just to become a criminal statistic, but yet many come here illegally and begin a new life for their families...I don't blame them, who wouldn't risk life and limb for a better future for their children. Well, getting off the subject here and can go on this forever, but I'll stop for now.

xxoo,
Georgina

Funny or odd thing is that I am right there along with you Georgina and when it comes to things like this I have always said arrest them all, deport them all....? I understand the need to make a better life and a lot do, but our economy is being broken , first by the very politicians in charge of protecting us and this country and then by the illegals,a little at a time, not just Mexican nationals though.... some places, in this country, resemble the land that these people come from, not ours... what ever happened to assimilation?

Oh dear Flora, how terrible and frightening for you and your family... it is so sad that people chose crime over good. You wonder where and when they became so desperate...... Thankfully no one was hurt!!!

Flora, sorry that you had to go through this "again" yet you showed compassion that is beyond most of us. I think that always shows in your work.

Hello Cindy and Jorge, now I'm embarrassed, my point in posting this was not to garner sympathy or get anything else for myself, I was just wondering out loud ( much as I always do at home )and venting...I do that a lot too at home and out loud...?
Cause what else can you do when you're frustrated?
Thanks to both of you and everyone for letting me do that here.

Oh dear Flora! How frustrating! What a horrid thing to happen!

I am glad the thief was caught--what a big heart you have, I don't know if I could show compassion as you did. Perhaps he will learn a lesson. However, it is sad that some people feel they must do this sort of thing. Perhaps he felt he had no choice. I am just glad noone got hurt and the person was caught. Big hugs!!!!
