Magical.....

Old Man Winter had come to town
bringing with him a magical gown.
Delicate snowflakes all earth bound,
which glistened and glimmered as
he placed it round...
Gently,softly to blanket the ground.
Mother Earth gasped as she looked down
at this wonderous beauty that he had found.

SNOW!!!! SNOW?...Yes!!! It's snowing in Texas!!!! This afternoon we saw an accumulation of a few inches of that wonderous snow, some places got more than others.I know you northern states are used to it but it is a rare sight where I live,I do hope it gets heavier, but I can see that it is starting to melt....sigh....

Simply beautiful...

Eleven degrees here right now, but no snow...at least not until Sunday when they are giving us an 80% chance. Lovely and magical Flora, thanks for sharing!

I'm expecting snow too! How cool that the deep south is getting it too...I lived along the coast off and on and it was rare to ever see snow..now that I'm in the Smoky Mountains I'm gonna see it much more often...

Do drop by today to see my Christmas decorating...we are having a blog party. :0)

Have a lovely day,
Stephanie

Yes, I love a light white layer, especially at night when it's just fallen and crunches underfoot.
I hate it in the glaring daylight and I'm shoving out my little car!

You got the same storm we did a few days before. My stepson lives in Houston and he was just thrilled as were his children...great experience. Hope you stayed in, though...good reason to cuddle up with a warm blanket, sip some warm tea or hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows. I did!! LOL

I have pics of our gorgeous mountains with snow on my blog. I love our mountains so much...they're part of who we are here in El Paso.

xxoo,
Georgina

Yes it does somehow seem to loose
it's beauty in the stark sunlight,
I love the misty moisty look when the skies are a bit overcast...
I'm so jealous of the snow covered mountains you have Georgina!!!
