I'm a artist who loves to make art dolls,I am a married mother of 4 great people and I have always been creative, I don't remember a day that I have not created something, whether it was drawing/sketching or sewing for my family. My creations are handmade from my own designs without the use of molds and I like to use found objects as well as vintage fabrics. My passion, at the moment, is air dry clay and fabric, the possibilities are endless! I would say I'm a bit eclectic and whimsical, since Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, most of my art tends to lean that way, but Christmas is a close second!!! I don't know why I waited so long to do this, but I do know that I don't want to waste any more time. Join me in my ''self discovery'' as I show you how I ''see'' things in my little world.
Blessings,Flora
You may not use my creations/designs in any form, that includes all of my written work, no exceptions, without my express permission. Please contact me on the above link for any questions regarding this.
hi, Flora I left a comment already but can't find what post I left it on, this time I'll sign up my email so I can see. Anyway- I usually work with clay to make figurines and was trying to make spun cotton figurines- the ones I make are posable and soft, is that how they should be? I understand if you'd rather not divulge in your secrets you have learned. thank you, really enjoy your work.
Hello Nicole I did get your message and answered it , I wonder what happened with it? I am self taught in spun cotton so I can only tell you how my work feels ,which is that it is firm and I do not recommend bending or posing mine. I was told by the artist that was on Martha Stewart- Lucy, that the cotton batting ones are just wound around an armature and the adhered at the end ,where as spun cotton is adhered as you wind it with whatever glue your preference is . I water down white glue 2-1 ratio or more.then brush it on the cotton. Hope it helps. Blessings,Flora
God doesn't give you the people you want, He gives you the people you NEED, to help you , to hurt you , to leave you, to love you and to make you into the person you were meant to be...
